ASUS ROG Harpe Ace Extreme

ASUS has announced the availability of the ROG Harpe Ace Extreme, an ultralight 47-gram gaming mouse featuring a carbon fiber shell. According to the brand, the shape of the Harpe Ace Extreme was co-developed with esports professionals to "ensure exceptional stability and control when flicking and tracking — especially for players accustomed to playing with a claw grip". The mouse features technologies such as the ROG AimPoint Pro optical sensor and ROG Optical Micro Switches, and comes bundled with a host of accessories including a set of Corning Gorilla Glass mouse feet, a hard-shell carrying case, and the ROG Polling Rate Booster.

ASUS states that the ROG Polling Rate Booster, when combined with ROG SpeedNova wireless technology, offers a true 8000Hz polling rate in both wireless and wired modes, with a plug-and-play design that allows users to directly attach the receivers or cables of compatible ROG peripherals.

Carbon Fiber Construction

The Harpe Ace Extreme uses a carbon fibre shell that helps keep its weight down to just 47g, maintaining a pro-tested shape and feel without resorting to a perforated structure. ASUS states that moulding carbon fiber into the iconic Harpe Ace shape requires a rigorous eight-stage manufacturing process, where every piece of carbon fiber is meticulously selected, cut, and positioned to ensure the weave patterns on every shell match up properly. Given the nature of carbon fiber weave patterns, this ensures that every Harpe Ace Extreme is unique. The mouse buttons are also cut from separate pieces of carbon fiber ― an approach that according to ASUS, ensures the Harpe Ace Extreme retains the same tactile click feel of the original Harpe Ace.

Shaped for Stability and Control

The shape of the Harpe Ace Extreme was co-developed with esports professionals to "ensure outstanding stability and control when flicking or tracking", where the shape of the standard Harpe Ace has been modified to create a slightly-elevated spine on the back of the mouse, so as to give the frontal palm area of end-users additional support.

Exceptional Wireless Performance

The Harpe Ace Extreme includes ASUS's ROG AimPoint Pro optical sensor, ROG Optical Micro Switches, and ROG SpeedNova wireless technology. The AimPoint Pro is a 42,000 dpi optical sensor that features track-on-glass technology, while the optical micro switches offer "crisp and instant actuation, and have a 100-million-click lifespan". According to ASUS, ROG SpeedNova wireless technology "has the ability to ensure that the polling rate stays at peak performance, by cutting through signal jams with powerful connections and by scanning available frequencies". In addition, the brand states that "ROG SpeedNova works even in noisy environments congested with RF signal interference from surrounding wireless devices, and it’s also compatible with the ROG Polling Rate Booster".

Premium Accessories

The Harpe Ace Extreme comes with a set of Corning Gorilla Glass mouse feet, a carrying case, and the ROG Polling Rate Booster. According to ASUS, the glass mouse feet are ideal for cloth mousepad users, where they can provide "smoother, more effortless mouse movements while maintaining superior control with better force adjustment and stopping power".

ROG Polling Rate Booster

When combined with a device featuring the ROG SpeedNova wireless technology, the ROG Polling Rate Booster can deliver fast and precise data input at a true 8000 Hz wireless polling rate. The booster’s plug-and-play design is intended to give users the flexibility to adapt the device to any PC setup, be it wired, wireless, or with a wireless extender. where it easily accommodates the receiver or cable of any compatible ROG peripheral device.

The Polling Rate Booster supports a wide range of ROG mice and keyboards, with more models expected to be compatible in the future. Current supported models include the Harpe Ace Mini, Keris II Ace, Harpe Ace Aim Lab Edition, and Keris Wireless AimPoint gaming mice. It also supports the ROG Azoth Extreme, Falchion RX Low-Profile, and Strix Scope II 96 RX Wireless gaming keyboards.
