Gigabyte claims to offer up to a 13% improvement in 9600X and 9700X processor performance with the latest AGESA 1.2.0.1a update.

Gigabyte Technology Co. Ltd has announced a slew of new BIOS releases to include a "TDP to 105W" option for AMD Ryzen 7 9700X and Ryzen 5 9600X processors, which the brand claims "can boost CPU performance up to 13%", where the "new BIOS has been verified to show an approximately 13% multi-core performance boost compared to default TDP 65W by Cinebench R23 test results".
The September AGESA 1.2.0.1a release provides a new option that enables users to raise the CPU TDP from 65W to 105W with just one click for Ryzen 9600X and 9700X processors on Gigabyte's 600-series AM5 motherboards.
Users can download the latest BIOS from Gigabyte's website, and update easily using Gigabyte's @BIOS, Q-Flash, or Q-Flash Plus features. The following table shows the Gigabyte AM5 motherboards that have received the latest AGESA 1.2.0.1a BIOS thus far:
According to Gigabyte, the AGESA 1.2.0.1a update for the rest of the brand's 600-series motherboards will be released in due course, and owners should check the Gigabyte website for the latest updates and information.
